The Brompton Collection is one of From The Anvil's most contemporary designs, inspired by the Industrial Era. In this blog, we take a closer look at the Brompton Collection and how to style knurled hardware in your home.

The Inspiration Behind Brompton

From The Anvil's Brompton Collection pays homage to the rich heritage of the era surrounding the Industrial Revolution, drawing inspiration from the robust craftsmanship during this period. Crafted from solid metal, this collection embodies strength, reflective of its durable and hardwearing nature.

Each Brompton product features an intricate knurling pattern. This distinctive knurling serve not only as a nod to the precision engineering of the past, but also introduces a tactile and visually interesting element to a space. The Brompton Collection successfully blends the industrial spirit of the past with the modern luxuries of the present.

How to Style the Brompton Collection

Despite its traditional influences, Brompton is best suited to forward-thinking interiors. This collection is an excellent way to bring a contemporary edge to your space, thanks to its modern and fresh-faced approach to design. Because the Brompton suite is available in such a wide variety of finishes, there's an endless number of ways to style it.

Aged and Polished Brass

Brass is a classic finish associated with wealth and opulence. When using Aged or Polished Brass in your home, you create a feeling of warming luxury. From The Anvil's Brompton hardware has a timeless beauty which is highlighted by the quiet shine of brass. Pair with bold greens, baby blues, and dark wood to make these products really pop!

Matt Black and Polished Bronze

From The Anvil's Matt Black finish is the the definition of refined. With a rich, non-glossy appearance, this is the perfect finish for the Brompton Collection as it highlights each individual diamond. This is complemented by neutral shades like Stone and grey, accented with bold colours like royal purple. Another finish that pairs well with this combination is Polished Bronze which has warm, copper undertones highlighted by a calm palette. For a truly exquisite look, try pairing Matt Black and Polished Bronze Brompton hardware in the same space.

Black and Pewter

Embrace the industrial look with Pewter Brompton hardware. Pair with slate grey and black accents to add an urban edge to your living space. Add bursts of colour with a few houseplants, accented by Satin Stainless Steel plant pots. Alternatively, opt for Black Brompton hardware, which is best complemented by raw wood and painted timber which will emphasise the subtle sheen of this finish.

Matt Black and Polished Chrome

Another wonderful choice for the Brompton collection is From The Anvil's Matt Black and Polished Chrome finishes. Despite being polar opposites of one another, both are well suited to modern homes. Matt Black has a distinguished look which can either be contrasted with glossy materials like ceramic tiles, or more textured materials like concrete. Polished Chrome has a bright and reflective appearance which pairs well with various colours including black, beige, and grey, and a variety of materials including marble, slate, and stone.

Polished Stainless Steel and Satin Stainless Steel

Forged from grade 316 marine stainless steel, these are two of From The Anvil's most durable and corrosion-resistant finishes. Both have cool undertones which work well with shades of blue, grey, pink, and purple, and can be combined with organic materials like raw wood, jute, and wicker to bring a more countrified feel to a space.
