Aged Brass

From The Anvil's Aged Brass hardware is forged from solid, unlacquered brass. With an abundance of character and charm, this finish is perfectly suited to period dwellings where it will create a statement throughout.

Due to the accelerated ageing process this finish undergoes, it develops a dark patina around the edges and recesses. This look complements bold, dark paint colours such as navy blue, red, and slate grey.

Aged Bronze

 From The Anvil's Aged Bronze products are forged from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. Once shaped, each product undergoes an accelerated ageing process which gives a rich, dark appearance to the metal. A protective layer of matt lacquer is applied over the top to preserve these distinctive tones.

Aged Bronze hardware is best suited to a painted finish, creating a true statement against pale shades like sage green, cream, and orange.

Polished Brass

From The Anvil's Polished Brass is referred to as a living finish. This is because Polished Brass products are forged from solid brass and left unlacquered, so their surface is exposed to the elements. Over time, oxidisation will occur, causing the brass to naturally age and darken, further enhancing its character.

This darkened brass pairs wonderfully with bold bursts of red, orange, and even black. However, the brightness of Polished Brass after it's been polished back to its original form pairs well with more subtle shades like salmon, sky blue, and green.

Polished Bronze

From The Anvil's Polished Bronze hardware is warm and reflective. Manufactured from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper, this finish is aged and then re-polished to create a subtle contrast between lighter surface areas and darker detailed parts of each product. This finish is protected by a robust lacquer applied during the final stages of manufacturing.

Suited to both contemporary and traditional settings, Polished Bronze is extremely versatile and complements many materials ranging from smooth marble and quartz to ceramic tiles and raw wood.

Polished Chrome

Polished Nickel

Forged from solid brass, From The Anvil's Polished Nickel products are coated in a single layer of nickel plating which gives them a subtle warmth that cannot be replicated by more modern chrome finishes. 

Thanks to its high-sheen appearance, Polished Nickel can be used in Period properties and contemporary suites alike, suiting a plethora of colours like navy blue, baby pink and yellow.

Satin Brass

From The Anvil's Satin Brass hardware is forged from solid brass and brushed with a satin wheel to create their distinctive texture. This is protected with a layer of matt lacquer which helps preserve the rich colour of the metal.

Satin Chrome
