What is Klarna?

Klarna is a Swedish company that offers more flexible ways to pay for your orders, including 'buy now, pay later' and 'pay in 30 days' schemes.

Klarna offers you a quicker, more convenient way to checkout. You can download the Klarna app, or access your account online.

You will need a Klarna account in order to pay via Klarna.

What payment plans are available?

Currently, we offer 3 flexible payment options via Klarna:

  1. Buy Now, Pay Later: order your products today, receive them as normal, and don't pay a penny for 30 days. Totally interest-free.
  2. Pay in 3: your order will be split into 3 payments (each for 1/3rd of the total cost). The first payment will be due on the date of purchase, the second after 30 days, and the third after 60 days.
  3. Pay now: pay the full cost of your order on the date of purchase.
How does 'pay in 30 days' work?

This option allows you to place your order and delay your payment for 30 days.

You will not be charged on the date of purchase. Within two days of your order confirmation, you'll be sent an email from Klarna with payment instructions.

You'll then have 30 days interest-free to pay for your order. You can pay via credit or debit card on the Klarna app, or alternatively login to your account here.

Am I eligible for 'pay in 30 days'?

To be eligible for 'pay in 30 days', you must be at least 18 years of age. Klarna may assess your financial circumstances to determine whether or not you are eligible for this payment option. This process is completely independent from Hand Forged, so any queries regarding your eligibility should be addressed to Klarna.

How does 'pay in installments' work?

This scheme allows you to spread the payment of your order into 3, interest-free installments.

Each payment will be automatically collected from the debit or credit you enter at checkout.

The first installment will be collected when your order is confirmed. The second and third installments are collected 30 and 60 days from the date of purchase, respectively.

You can view your payment schedule in the Klarna app.

Am I eligible for 'pay in installments'?

To be eligible for 'pay in installments' you must be:

  • Over 18 years old
  • Have suitable financial circumstances (see Klarna's T&C's for more info)

While Klarna may conduct an assessment of your financial circumstances, this will not have an impact on your credit rating.

Will Klarna conduct a credit search?

To assess your financial circumstances, Klarna may run a soft credit search (also known as an unrecorded enquiry). The results of this are only visible to you and Klarna, and will have no effect on your credit rating.

What happens if I cancel my order?

As soon as we (Hand Forged) accept your cancellation, Klarn will cancel any scheduled payments for your order and return any amounts due. You'll be able to see your cancelled order in the Klarna app.

What happens if I return my order?

As soon as we (Hand Forged) accept your return, Klarn will cancel any scheduled payments for your order and return any amounts due. You'll be able to see your returned order in the Klarna app.

Why am I being redirected to Klarna?

If you choose to pay for Klarna at checkout, you will be redirected to Klarna and be asked to login to your account. You need to be logged into your Klarna account to pay for your order.

You'll receive confirmation both from Hand Forged and Klarna once your order has been confirmed.

You can always view your existing and scheduled payments in the Klarna app.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Your payment information is processed securely by Klarna.

All transactions are secured using the latest industry-standard security protocols so you can rest assured knowing your payment information is safe.

Can I pay before the due date?

Yes! You're welcome to pay for your order at any point after you receive your email confirmation from Klarna. Simply follow the instructions inside this email, or head to the Klarna app to manage your payments.

I've received a statement; why have I not received my goods?

If your goods are taking longer to arrive than expected, please Contact Us for details about your order and delivery status.

You can also contact Klarna's Customer Service to postpone the due date for your payment or put the order on hold in the Klarna app while you wait for your order to arrive.

How long will it take to receive my refund?

As soon as your refund has been accepted and you've received email confirmation of your refund, it should be processed within 5 working days.

How will I receive my refund?

Your refund will be issued back to the debit or credit card originally used to pay at checkout.

Why haven't I received an email about my order?

If you haven't received email confirmation from Hand Forged, firstly check your junk mail. If you still can't find an email about your order, please Contact Us to discuss.

If you have received an email confirmation about your order but haven't received an email from Klarna, try logging into your Klarna app to view your payments. Alternatively, Contact Klarna for more information.

How can I view my payment details?

You can view your payment details by logging into the Klarna app on your device. If you're unable to use the app, visit Klarna's website at www.klarna.com/uk where you'll be able to login and access your order information.
