Contemporary is one of From The Anvil's key looks. Typically used in modern properties, the Contemporary aesthetic is consciously designed with open plan living in mind. This style is clean, but not clinical, and forward-thinking without being ultra-modern or minimalistic. However, it does utilise some key principles of minimalist design, including clean surfaces, sleek materials, and often monochromatic (or at least neutral) colour schemes. Bold bursts of colour are used to accentuate this look in the form of soft furnishings and statement lighting. The Contemporary look is characterised by large expanses of glass, bi-fold and panelled doors, and tactile materials like red brick and concrete. Finish the look with complementary hardware finishes like Stainless Steel, Polished Brass, or Matt Black.
