How are Natural Smooth products made?

Our Natural Smooth products are made from a natural cast iron, finished with a clear, matt lacquer which acts as a protective layer.

Can I use Natural Smooth products externally?

We don't recommend using our Natural Smooth products externally.

However, our Pewter products look very similar and are suitable for external use, so these make a great alternative to Natural Smooth.

How can I maintain my Natural Smooth products?

Use a soft, dry cloth to occasionally wipe From The Anvil's Maintenance Wax over the surface of your Natural Smooth products to help form a protective barrier, particularly when used in damp environments like kitchens or bathroms.

If used in damp internal conditions, a light rust may appear on the surface of the product. If this occurs, it can be easily removed using grade 00 wire wool, followed by a coating of Maintenance Wax.

We would also recommend regular oiling of all moving parts using From The Anvil's 3-in-1 Oil to boost the lifetime of your products.
