When do I need an escutcheon?

Escutcheons are used to tidy the look of and protect your keyhole. Escutcheons with covers can also be used to minimise draughts flowing through your keyhole.

Escutcheons can be used to cover cylinders used with lever on rose door handles and door knobs with latches or deadbolts.

How are your escutcheons sold?

Our escutcheons are sold in singles with all necessary fixings. Depending on the type you choose, your escutcheon may also come with a cover and concealed ring.

What's the difference between a standard and concealed escutcheon?

With a standard escutcheon, the screws used to fix the escutcheon in place are visible once the escutcheon has been fitted. This type of escutcheon is a single piece.

With a concealed escutcheon, there is an extra layer which is fitted on top of the escutcheon to conceal the fixing screws. This gives a neater finish and is designed to match the roses supplied with our lever door handles.
